You can chose a face to face appointment at the Wellbeing Clinic, Colchester or an online video consultation, please select when booking.
Please allow approximately 45 minutes for an initial consultation and 30 minutes for a follow up.
All consultations are with Miss Sarah Prince, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Menopause Specialist. She will start by understanding your background health and priorities. Then work with you to find an individualised plan to support your health needs.
Following a consultation if you decide medication is the right approach; you will have the option to obtain this from your GP or we can generate a private prescription.
Private prescriptions are sent to an online pharmacy provider who will contact you directly for payment and then arrange delivery to your home (or place of choice). This normally takes a few working days.
There are no additional fees for generating a prescription within the consultation. At other times we charge £40 to cover costs.
The need for bloods will depend on age, symptoms and response to treatment. If we feel blood tests would be helpful we will discuss this within the consultation and they can then be arranged through the Wellbeing Clinic (additional charges apply).
The majority of women will not require further investigations. In some situations a pelvic ultrasound or DEXA bone scan may be indicated, these can be arranged privately as needed (additional charge) or a letter can be provided for you to request these via your GP.
Payment is taken in full at the point of booking to secure the appointment. A secure payment link will be provided. We accept most debit/credit card providers.
If you cancel over 2 working days before the appointment a change of date or full refund will be offered.
Consultations are only available for those who are over 18 and currently living in the UK.
